Architect & interior designer in Mid Wales & the border
The border towns are a different discipline again. Montgomery has one of the best-preserved Georgian townscapes in Wales; Berriew is black-and-white and closely conserved; Welshpool and Llanidloes are working market towns with fabric worth keeping. Where a frontage is the town’s shared asset, the freedom is behind it — and that is usually where the gains are.

What the work usually involves
I work with homeowners in selected Mid Wales and border locations rather than across the whole of Wales. Commercially, I have delivered work as far as Cardiff for Clogau.
Every engagement begins with a free phone conversation, after which I recommend the right next step — often a £595 Home Transformation Consultation at the house, or the £1,950 Concept & Feasibility stage where a substantial project needs options and honest numbers before commitment.
Planning
Powys County Council is the planning authority, working to Welsh legislation and policy — including listed building consent, which differs from the English system.
