Architecture & interiors in Mobberley
Mobberley is long, green and quietly serious: farmhouses, converted barns and family houses strung along lanes between Knutsford and the Bollin. I work with owners here on houses that live a genuinely rural life.
The houses of Mobberley
One of Cheshire’s largest parishes by lanes if not population, Mobberley’s stock is agricultural at heart — brick farmhouses, shippons and barns, joined by twentieth-century houses on paddock plots. Mud, dogs, boots and horses are design parameters here, not lifestyle photography.
A design note for Mobberley
Country houses run from the back door: boot room, utility, larder, dog shower — the unglamorous suite that decides whether the beautiful rooms stay beautiful. Designing that spine properly is the most valuable unfashionable work I do.
How I can help here
Whole-house thinking first, always: architecture, interior design and architecture & interior design combined as one appointment, with a free first conversation and a £595 consultation as the intelligent first steps and buyers advice before you commit to a purchase. I work with homeowners in Mobberley and the surrounding villages — there is no shopfront to visit; I come to the house, which is where the answers are.

Is a boot room really an architect’s job?
The working spine of a country house absolutely is — done well it protects every other room and makes daily life measurably better.
Can you unify a farmhouse and its outbuildings?
Yes — deciding what each building is for, and connecting them intelligently, is classic whole-site work.
